Growing up, tenting was the best thing about the summers. Getting to adventure out with the family and explore! Now that I'm married, I wanted to introduce that world to my husband. In this episode, I share the craziness of our first experience tenting, some of the things we packed, and what we should have... Am I the only one, when parking at an airport, who gets arrival and departure areas confused? It always seems to work out, but I figured a good refresher of what to expect when navigating an airport would be a good ideas. Especially as many of us are dreaming of the days when we get to fly again.
This weeks "God moment in my travels" focuses on a time when I navigated an airport when I moved cross country for a semester, to a campus I had never visited!

My latest obsession is the concept of RV Life. Until recently, I had been under the impression that RV life was rather drab and boring until I found out just how unique a life on the road really can be! Who knew that people renovate and flip RVs? Or that there are 6 different types of RVs? Or that there are Christian travelers sharing their RV stories on multiple social media platforms? I didn't. But now that I have been introduced to this world - I just had to share it with you. Hopefully you will walk away just as excited as I am!

In a year when it is so easy to get discouraged by so many things: the fact that travel plans changed, the fact that we can't gather with people as we'd like, etc. Let's take some time to count our blessings! As Christian Travelers' it's our responsibility to have a mindset shift and even in hardship be able to express the joy and blessings God does provide. I can't wait to share the blessings I have seen, but even more so - to learn what blessings you have seen in 2020!

For professional beach volleyball player, Heather Friesen, playing her sport in Hawaii was a dream come true. But things went awry when she slipped off of a 50 foot waterfall - changing her senior year of college and her perspective on volleyball forever. Cassie Yoshikawa started a travel blog when she realized that there weren't many resources out there for Christian travelers who want to admire the Creator and not just the creation. That blog has been an inspiration for many of my faith + travel discussions and I am so excited to have her join us this week on the podcast as she shares a new perspective on tourists.
