When Joe Patterson's parents got a divorce it left him feeling angry with God. Several years alter, after completing college, his pain along with curiosity about his parents past, led him to adventure through the Black Hills in the middle of the winter more than once. Saying that the adventures were frightening is a bit of an understatement, but saying it was a God-filled journey of facing pain with courage - is a lot more accurate.
